June 28th Pike

Hit the lake this morning at 5AM for a few hours of fishing. The bite was really slow at first probably as a result of the storms late Yesterday afternoon. Once it started to warm up the pike and bass started coming on pretty strong on the still side of the lake. They were in the weeds from 5 to 10 feet of water. We hit some rock piles, points, and deeper holes but the bite there was only intermittent nibbles so no walleyes or crappies Today. It was a beautiful morning on the lake!

Tough morning on the lake. The wind blew my 16' around a bit. It was a challenge to stay in one spot. Like Paul said, once we decided to drift the inner weed edge of the calm side of the lake, he caught 5 or 6 northerns and bass like no ones business. He definitely had the hot spinner that morning.
